Windsor Physical Therapy was created in 2004 by Kimberly Nielsen, PT and her mother, Marguerite Nielsen, RN. Our motivation was to provide personalized treatment to patients of all ages with any orthopedic ailment in a relaxed environment. We were excited to serve the members of the surrounding community that we both grew up in. Though Marguerite has since retired, Windsor Physical Therapy still maintains it's familial atmosphere, clients often running into old friends, colleagues, or neighbors, offering support to one another.
What former patients say about us
"I became a patient at Windsor Terrace PT when I was rehabbing from my fifth knee surgery in fifteen years. I chose them simply because I lived nearby; previous experiences with PT had taught me to expect just some weight lifting and scolding about my range of motion. But Kim Nielsen is fantastic: she managed to massage away nearly all of my scar tissue; we worked on balance issues; and I found myself voluntarily working out at the shop on my days off. I bounced back from the surgery much stronger than expected!"
Kimberly Nielsen is incredibly professional and compassionate. She knows how far to push, how to encourage and how to challenge her clients. She listens to your stories without getting distracted from consistently raising your performance bar. She introduced a new activity at every session so I never got complacent. And, while she doesn't practice psychology as far as I know, she certainly knows how to instill a positive outlook and an "I can do it" attitude in those who work with her. After working with Kim for two months, I stride confidently forward to my pre-stroke personal and professional life!"
I saw Adrien and everything changed. He was kind and patient and worked me to the breaking point and made me believe that I would eventually get better. He never let me give up, he was encouraging and he gave me the strength and support to get better. And now I am unrecognizable from the woman who first showed up at his door, able to resume most of my previous activities. I could not recommend him more highly. Other nice things about WPT is that unlike most PT offices you really get a half hour of individualized attention where you are the only patient they are working with, I really appreciate that.
