is a NY state licensed physical therapist and graduate of SUNY Buffalo ('99) physical therapy program.
Kimberly has taken extensive continuing education to further her skills, including functional manual therapy courses offered through the Institute of Physical Art, which she often integrates in her treatment approach. She has also taken a myriad of further courses in orthopedic evaluation and treatment techniques.
Prior to opening WPT in 2004, Kimberly worked in various physical therapy settings, including orthopedic, neurological, and pediatrics. She has served as a PT for the Triple Crown of Surfing in Hawaii, has worked with all ages and levels of athletes, including acting as a consultant for local schools, and has also worked as a personal trainer with a focus on post-rehab fitness in an elite fitness center. Though her greatest success and pleasure has been working to optimize activity level and meet the needs of her local community, including implementing exercise program at a local senior citizen center.
Kimberly is an active member of the APTA and Council of Licensed Physiotherapists of New York, Inc.
Kimberly is an avid outdoor enthusiast and has an extensive athletic competitive background including running Division I X-Country and Track & Field, sprint and olympic triathlons, surfing, and basketball.
Kimberly is a native to the Park Slope/Windsor terrace area, a mother of two lovely children, and pleased to be serving members of her community.
Sarah Whiteside, PT, DPT, CIYT
is a New York State licensed Physical Therapist, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Sarah has over 9 years experience focused on orthopedic and manual therapy.
After graduating, Sarah continued to pursue manual therapy skills, working in several private orthopedic outpatient practices. Prior to this, she gained experience in musculoskeletal and acute rehabilitation through affiliations at Long island College Hospital and Maimonades Hospital.
She has received advanced training in functional manual therapy from the Institute of Physical Arts (IPA) and is working towards advanced certification as a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT). She continues her professional education in movement reeducation and manual therapy through Maitland joint mobilization techniques, Myofascial Release, A.R.T. (Active Release Technique), peripheral nerve mobilization, pelvic floor physical therapy and many other courses. She is also trained in BASI Pilates.
Sarah is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor (CIYT) and has been teaching yoga since 1995. She earned her B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she started her journey in the practice of yoga almost 30 years ago. She got her start teaching at Methodist Hospital in Park Slope where she worked in their Yoga and Art Therapy program for 2 years. Her yoga expertise informs and enhances her ability to help physical therapy patients gain the strength, balance, flexibility, and awareness that are central to lifelong activity and well-being, beyond recovering from injury.
Sarah was inspired to become a physical therapist through working with her yoga students, as well as through many sports played over the years (lacrosse, field hockey, tennis, skiing, mountain biking).
Sarah keeps active and is often biking or cross country skiing in Prospect Park. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga and Pilates, and learning to play the mandolin.
Yuval Yaari, PT, DPT, OCS
is a NY state licensed physical therapist and graduate from Touro’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Yuval graduated at the top of his class, has been numerously recognized for his excellence and dedication to the field, and was the recipient of the prestigious Maimonides Award. Yuval continuously seeks to grow as a clinician, taking a wide array of continuing education courses in order to meet the needs of the diverse patients that he works with. Coursework includes manual therapy through NAIOMT, breathing assessments/intervention through PRI, chronic pain management through NOI, and the list keeps growing weekly. He conducts guest lectures and is a teaching assistant at Touro College’s PT program, utilizing his passion and experience to help grow the next generation of clinicians.
Yuval has extensive experience in treating individuals with complex symptoms and chronic pain, and has also worked with competitive collegiate and professional athletes. His passion and appreciation for the human body and holistic health began during his undergraduate studies at UCLA. Regardless of background, Yuval believes in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis, with a special emphasis on education and patient empowerment through movement.
When not in the clinic, Yuval loves anything and everything that has to do with basketball, craft beers (especially sours!), dogs, and long distance running.
is a NY state licensed physical therapist and graduate of Ithaca College Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program ('07). He completed an Orthopedic Residency through Sacred Heart University ('10).
Adrian is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and has extensive experience treating many orthopedic conditions, including complex chronic low back pain, TMJ disorders, and headaches. He has also treated a variety of professional athletes, including marathoners, junior olympians, and bodybuilders, as well as broadway performers and professional dancers. He has given talks at Cornell-Weill, New York Public Library branches, Summit Professional Education, and professional conferences.
Adrian is also currently Director of Clinical Residency Education at TOURO College.
Adrian enjoys running and is a member of the NYRRC, and has acted as medical coordinator and volunteer for various local race events, including a Mud Run, the NYC Marthon, NYC Triathlon, NY Toughman, and NYC Ironman.
