  • Daniel Shuman

    Daniel Shuman is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. He began to practice postural yoga in 2004, and began teaching in 2009. In July of 2019, Daniel spent a month in Pune, India, studying with the Iyengar family. From 2014 until 2020, he apprenticed with senior teacher James Murphy. Daniel is a faculty member of the Iyengar Institute of New York.

    Additionally, Daniel holds a B.A. in Jazz Studies and Performance from William Paterson University. His bass playing is well-documented on over 40 recordings in genres ranging from Americana to metal. As a musician, he has toured most of the continental United States, as well as much of Europe and the U.K.

  • Frank Ricci

    Frank Ricci teaches yoga to help empower and align individuals with their physical selves. By using available props and visualizations for sustained poses, Frank focuses on body structure and mindfulness to aid healing, maintenance, and prevention of avoidable wear and tear.

    Frank received his certification in 2010 from the Yogasana Center of Yoga in Brooklyn, New York. He has extensive training in Therapeutic yoga for treating back pain and scoliosis. Frank's welcoming style draws influence from Iyengar Yoga, Alexander Technique, and Western Physical Therapy, creating a unique experience that is both encouraging and engaging.

  • Sarah Selig

    Sarah Selig has been living and teaching yoga in the Park Slope, Brooklyn for over 25 years. She came into yoga through her background in dance. She began studying yoga with Dharma Mittra in 1994 and then completed teacher training with him in 2000. From Dharma she learned the value of interweaving yoga philosophy into the Hatha Yoga practice and the healing benefits of savasana and mediation. Since that initial training she has studied and trained in a myriad of yoga styles, including vinyasa with Shiva Rea,restorative with Judith Lasater and yin yoga with Laura Kauffmann,Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds. Since 2021 she has been studying with Tias Little and Prajna yoga. Through Prajna yoga she is certified in SATYA, Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga, a somatic practice that complements yoga. This practice is therapeutic nature. Sarah is a reiki practitioner and has completed the Shinpidin level with Frans Steine of International House of Reiki. She continues her reiki study with Bronwen Logan.

  • Lissy Vomacka

    Lissy Vomáčka began teaching yoga in 2010 after completing her teacher training with the wonderful Sondra Loring at Sadhana Yoga in Hudson NY. Her yoga training, practice and teaching is predominately in the Iyengar tradition, as she continues her studies with Iyengar teacher Genny Kapular. She also has studied Yoga for Back Care with Deborah Wolk and is especially interested in the therapeutics of having and nurturing a consistent yoga practice.

    Lissy danced professionally in NYC for many years. She is a licensed acupuncturist, certified Zero Balance practitioner and is an early childhood educator specializing in working with children and young adults on the autistic spectrum. She is pleased to join Windsor PT’s yoga offerings.

  • Anna Vomacka

    Anna Vomacka, a Windsor Terrace native, is a dance performer and movement educator. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from The Ohio State University (OSU), and completed her 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher Training with Sondra Loring of Sadhana Yoga, Hudson, NY.

    As a yoga teacher, Anna melds principles of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Vinyasa to cater to the direct needs and desires of her students. She is committed to making movement accessible to all people. Anna teaches yoga at the YMCA, Yogis & Yoginis, and in private lessons.

  • Kristen Davis

    Kristen Davis has been teaching yoga and Alexander Technique since 1995 and received the Soto Zen Buddhist precepts in 2017. For 14 years, she was the owner and director of Yogasana Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she taught all levels of classes and led teacher training programs. Kristen taught a Friday Restorative Yoga class from the late 1990s at Eastern Athletic Club up to the end of 2017 when she closed Yogasana Center.

    Her own yoga training has been predominantly in the Iyengar tradition, most importantly with her teacher and mentor, Donald Moyer. Kristen's style is rooted in Alexander Technique and Zen Buddhism--meditative, clear and precise, playful and compassionate.

  • Surabhi Rathod

    Surabhi has a Master’s degree in Yoga from S-VYASA University and is a C-IAYT (certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists). She began her yoga journey at the BKS Iyengar Yogashraya, Mumbai and went on to complete yoga teacher training certifications from Jivamukti Yoga (300 hour), Sivananda Yoga (300 hour), and Govardhan School of Yoga (200 hour).

    She has been a practicing yoga therapist treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, endocrine and psychiatric conditions at hospitals in India. She teaches safe, alignment-oriented yoga that focuses on the breath as the bridge between the body and the mind. She believes that yoga has a wonderful cleansing and therapeutic effect and can elevate you to a higher level of consciousness.

  • Liza Toft

    Liza has been teaching yoga in NYC since 1998. She has studied various forms of yoga but kept getting drawn back to the art, science, and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga. She committed to getting certified in the method by enrolling in the teacher training program at the New York Iyengar Yoga Institute in 2015 and becoming certified in 2018.

    Having a background in fine art as well as having a masters degree in creative arts therapy from Pratt Institute, she sees Iyengar Yoga as a creative art form. There is a focus on precision and alignment in the method, but her teaching encourages students to use the technique to go deeper to find the transformational power of yoga.
